一気に480km。PRIUSの走りを堪能しました

９月３０日＜September 30＞ 一気に480km。PRIUSの走りを堪能しました。 イギリス南部の港町ポーツマスでカー・フェリーを下りたエコ・ミッションPRIUSは、一路北西部の小さな田舎町、マッキンレーを目指して走りました。本日の走行距離486km。北米編では驚くほどの数字ではありませんでしたが、ヨーロッパ編の最長記録となりそうです。 イギリスは日本と同じ左側通行ですから、一晩眠ってカー・フェリーを下りるといきなり反対側車線という状況でした。まあ、左側通行は日本で慣れていますから問題はないのですが、今度またフランスに戻ったときが心配です。 さて、今日からイギリス編の通訳の原田さんが加わりました。イギリス在住の好青年で、もちろん英語はぺらぺら、そしてフットワークも良くて大助かり。そのうち写真にも登場するはず。しばらくフランス編の谷さんとはお別れ。 それにしても何カ国語も操れる方の頭の中はどうなっているのでしょうか？　きっと頭の中がハイブリッド・システムになっているのでしょう！？ 30 September, 2000 Covered 480 km plus a day with PRIUS to find how capable it was!: As soon as arriving Portsmouth, a port town in a southern area of England, and getting off car the ferry which brought us here from Le Havre, we left for a small country town Machynlleth situated in a north-west area of the country. Distance we run today is 486 km. Although this value is of no surprise when you were in America, should be the longest one for our European tour this year. Now we have a powerful new staff, Mr. Harada joining us as our interpreter/navigator in this country. This talented guy lives in England, speaks English perfectly! You will see him in this page soon. Wondering what's going on in his brain ? I mean, how does it manage to handle several languages using just a single unit?
