階段式運河を船が行き来する情景とＰＲＩＵＳ

１０月１２日＜October 12＞ 階段式運河を船が行き来する情景とＰＲＩＵＳ。 運河取材の最終編として、地中海から大西洋を結ぶ運河を取り上げましょう。フランス南部の中央に位置するSete（セテ）とフランス第６の街、Touluse（トゥールーズ）を結ぶMidi（ミディ）運河です。この運河からさらにGaronne（ガローネ）運河を伝って大西洋まで、何不自由なく運河船は行き来できてしまうのです。 運河交通が発達したヨーロッパでは、別にこれは珍しいことではなく、パリからも地中海や大西洋に抜ける運河網が当たり前なのです。そして実際に現在も生活の一部として利用されているのです。 このミディ運河の東の始点Sete（セテ）から西に数キロの街、Bezier（ベジエ）ではその運河船の利便性をさらに高めるため、階段式にした“階段運河”がありました。そして、さらに注目の運河システムも発見しました。 12 October, 2000 PRIUS parked by a “stairs” canal: The last two canals we are reporting you of are those between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. First is the Midi canal running from a bay town Sete located in the southern end of France via Touluse, the 6th largest town in France、to the second one called Garonne canal which links the Midi canal and the Atlantic Ocean.
