２０年後の自分を夢見て

2020年の未来の夢を原稿用紙に書く生徒たちカプセルのなかに夢を入れていく。なんだか緊張する

環境関係のキーワードでよく言われるのが「次世代を担うこどもたちのために」ということ。このために大人たちは今までの知恵、知識を生かし頑張っています。しかし子供たちは未来をどのように思っているのでしょう。そこで実際子供たちに聞いてみようと、北九州市にある吉田中学校にいってみました。

吉田中学校は、昭和５８年開校。北九州市の「花咲くまちづくりコンクール」で、毎年のように表彰される、花と緑を大切にする心を持つ生徒がたくさんいる学校です。スタッフの馬場がこの学校区の出身だったこともあり、この学校へ行ってみんなの夢をタイムカプセルに詰めて埋めようとの案が出ました。

当日、訪問してみると正門にはたくさんの生徒が出迎えてくれました。そしてさっそく受けるかたちで隊長から世界を旅して感じた環境保全の話をしました。生徒はみんなあっけにとられたことはいうまでもありません。最初はきょとんとしていた生徒たちも、しだいに慣れてきたのか、エスティマハイブリッドの中を覗いたり、スタッフの顔を見たりしています。そして教室で「20年後を夢みて」を生徒、スタッフ一緒になって書きました。当日は土曜日でクラブ活動をする生徒しか学校には来ていませんでした。しかし前日、全校生徒がすでにこの手紙を書いてあり、タイムカプセルは全校生徒406名、エコミッションスタッフ6名の手紙で一杯になりました。

埋設する前に、生徒たちが作った花壇を見せてもらいました。さすがにコンクールで表彰されるだけのことはあります。この花壇は一年を通じて、色とりどりの花を植えるそうです。

そしてついにカプセルを埋める瞬間がやってきました。みんなで穴を掘り、みんなで埋めました。みんなどんなことを書いたのだろう。その内容は結局誰にも聞かなかったけど、きっと明るい未来のことを書いたんだと信じたいものです。20年後、みんなで集まってみるまで、今日聞きたかったことをとっておこうと思います。

吉田中学校のみなさん、本当にありがとう。

また20年後、きっと校庭のあの場所で会いましょう。

It dreams of the 20-year back

Saying well by the environmental-related keyword should say "for the children who bear the next generation." For this reason, adults employ old wisdom and knowledge efficiently and are doing their best. However, what do children consider the future? Then, we visited Yoshida junior high school in Kitakyushu-city.

The Yoshida junior high school will be opened in Showa 58. It is the school which is commended like an every year in "the production contest of 'The town where a flower blooms' of Kitakyushu-city and in which many students with the heart which values a flower and green are present. Since Baba, the staff, was the graduate of this school division, it went to this school and the proposal with how to put everybody's dream in a time capsule and bury it came out.

When it visited, many students met in the main gate on the day. And the talk of the environmental preservation which traveled around the world from the captain Yokota instantly was carried out. Not all students need to say having been taken at amazement. And the students and staff wrote a letter "It dreams of the 20-year back" in the classroom. Only the student who does club activities in Saturday was coming to the school on the day. However, all the students have already written this letter on the previous day, and the time capsule filled with the letter of all the 406 students and six ecomission staff.

Before laying underground, we had the flower bed which students made shown. There is only what is truly commended in a contest. It is said that this flower bed plants various flower through one year.

And the moment of burying a capsule at last came on. The hole was dug all together and it buried all together. What thing was written wholly? We believe that they wrote the thing of the surely bright future although the contents were asked to nobody after all. I regard as it taking what to hear today after 20 years until it gathers all together.

Thank you very much which does not make only the Yoshida junior high school.

Let's surely meet 20 years after in that place of a schoolyard again.
